The Léguer, named after my home river, is a true all-rounder for medium-sized to large rivers. Very accurate at short, medium and long distances, its length is ideal for most situations found anywhere, also in overgrown territory. The rod can carry all lengths of line or shoot any standard distance and its softer tip and powerful backbone will help subdue bigger fish with ease. Finer tippets (0,10mm) can be used without scare of breakage. Comes with two identical tips, this rod has a great action and is a quality build, perfect for all those that can appreciate great tackle.
This go-anywhere rod with its impressive features is used best with weight forward lines (regular WF or TT) as it loads quickly and delivers line in an pinch, perfect in the realm of finicky wild trout. Very lightweight, it should be matched with a lightweight large arbor reel equipped with a capable drag system. Fish up to about 10 lbs (brown trout, rainbow trout, sea trout, grilse, but also big barble and chub) are no problem for this fine rod.
The rod builder’s note
“Here is a blank that truly can be given the moniker “Allround”. While there are more specialized, finer rods suited for smaller, warier fish or more powerful sticks for truly big fish, I can claim that no trout on Earth is really safe from this rod in capable hands!!”
